SIP PANEL 3000 x 1200 x 150mm

SPT’s most common panel has the dimensions of 3000 x 1200 x 150mm. Although other sizes are available upon request, clients find this size to be optimal in terms of ease of construction, thermal efficiency, strength and price.

The minimization of construction material wastage is one of the advantages of our structurally insulated panels, so let us help you optimize  your plan  by suggesting ways in which off-cuts can be either used or avoided all together.

Structural Insulated Panels, (SIP), consist of two parallel faces of  12 mm  MGO  facings  sandwiching a rigid core of Polyurethane, PUR foam, creating a composite panel with excellent structural and thermal characteristics.

The SPT  MAG-SIP  Structural Insulated Panel system is manufactured by injecting a precise blend of chemical PUR foam under high pressure between the  MGO (magnesium oxide ) faces. This process  bonds the MGO and the foam core together as the chemical reaction occurs, resulting in superior bond strength compared to lamination ( lick and stick) techniques, and guarantees a continuous bond across the entire surface area of the panel.

Due to their composite construction, Structural Insulated Panels are exceptionally strong.Structural testing, carried out at an Agrement  accredited test center has proven that SPT  SIP construction out performs conventional construction in both axial loading and racking. These positive results mean that architects and designers have flexibility when working with SIPs, and that structural engineers can be confident in using SIP construction for a variety of building types.
